In India there are different kind of religions and cultures. But
ultimately all are Indians.This is called unity in diversity. Now India
has completed a great period of time since the independence. India has
been a great statue of history.
Unity
India showed its unity for many times. India became united when it was the fight for the independence. There were “Karntikari” from different religion but they had only one goal. At that time there were two different streams like violent and nonviolent in the revolutionists, but at the end India got independence. Here unity gave freedom.
After the independence the country showed unity again when there were war situations like war with Pakistan, China. There was a great support by all Indians to their army. People hope and pray for the positive. Here united emotions resulted country’s victory against rival in war.
When there is any natural calamity, people are united and they face the misery together. Examples are cyclones, floods and heavy rain fall .We had heavy rain fall in Mumbai, cyclones in Bengal and tsunami in costal areas; but people were converged to change the state.Here the unity among countrymen brought stability after devastation.
There is a tremendous example where unity comes in light. India becomes united even during the games, say cricket matches; you can feel the spirit and the unity when there is a cricket match between India and Pakistan. An unknown person may ask you about the current score and can have some chat and discussion regarding the match. The excitation level and the feeling for the country’s win are high. The flow of emotions is similar to that of war to some extent. Here unity gifted joy to the country.
Diversity
Country has diversity in many ways. Countrymen have conflicts when some selfish leaders mislead them on the basis of the religion, cast, language and locality. Here the misguided persons think that they are right; but actually they destroy the base of the country’s unity. There have been several issues like communal riots at the time of partition, Ayodhya issue, Godhara issue, moist issues and many more.This kind of conflicts droughts all the four(freedom,victory,stability,joy) mentioned above.
Diversity is our strength ;do not let it be a weak point.Do not let anybody to break our unity.
Being a part of the country and being united is something that can’t be imposed by any constitution or government to a countryman. It is his feeling for his mother land and emotion for his country.
